Touching is most definitely in – and men and women are enjoying masturbation just as much (more in some cases) than regular sex. 1,000 people got candid about their masturbation habits in a very intimate and recent survey. We have some of the results below.

96% of men and 88% of women do it – that’s an awesome percentage as far as we’re concerned. And while men average a very healthy 4 times a week, women aren’t far behind with an average of 2 times a week. Both average around the same duration – between 13 and 14 minutes per session.

There are a few subtle differences though, and while men enjoy use of their hands almost all of the time, 40% of women tend to choose a toy or two to get themselves going. In addition, favourite turn-ons for men include porn videos and fantasies, while for women the above as well as erotic literature and fantasies about a stranger can also do the trick.
