This study delved deep into modern individual’s sexual fantasies and uncovered some fascinating recurring themes along with other insights. From threesomes to BDSM and everything in between, here’s what people in long term relationships are lusting after to add more excitement to their sex lives.

Threesomes Come Out on Top

The survey sample was large with 4,175 people being interviewed – and a startlingly large proportion of them lusted after a threesome above all other fantasies. This interest increased with age too, a trend thought to be predominantly from those in long term, monogamous relationships and looking to spice things up. Additionally, a traditional threesome was the most popular choice of group sex, although gang bangs and orgys also made an appearance.

Same Sex Experiences

The survey also uncovered that fantasies about same sex experiences were much more popular for women than men.

Other Fantasies

BDSM was a popular fantasy for younger participants and among women too. It is thought that this was due to a) cultural impacts and b) individual insecurities. One in seven participants also held foot fetishes. Online porn was the main place in which all these fantasies stemmed from.

Other Trends

A number of more rounded insights came out of the study too, among them that extroverts are more likely to want to engage in group or public sex and non-monogamy, whereas introverts were more likely to change themselves to be more extroverted in their fantasies.
